July Posture Focus Challenge Week 2

Week 2 - Seated Forward Fold + Pistol Squat + Knee Lifted Tree Pose.

Practice all poses on both sides of the body, every day.

Make sure body is warm and ready before stronger poses.

Using postures to focus on - The bladder meridian/Root Chakra

Water element (Yang) organ

Energy of survival and self-defence.

Key functions are:

Sympathetic nervous system, Fight/flight, Extensor Reflex, Fertility,

Orgasm, Inhale and grasping Prana.

Mental aspects of Will Power and Blind Faith.

Connected to Fear/Shock

Channel for Prana to move inward and downward.

Working on physical structures:

Urinary bladder, Kidneys, Adrenals, Hamstring, Pelvic floor, Gluteus Maximus, Posterior calf muscles, Spinal Erectors, Quadratus Lumborum, Latissimus Doris, Scalp, Suboccipitals, Sacral Plexus, Sciatic Nerve, Achilles Tendon.
